The Club chartered with 20 members and increased to 22 during the year. The Charter was presented to President Jim Wilde by District Governor Sid Packham in October 1955 at a dinner in the Memorial Hall Supper Room. The Club Installed electric lights on the tennis court at the Moree Hospital and built a Club House for the staff.
The Club made contact with American Lions to help speed up the delivery of a resuscitor for the hospital. The Club assisted their sponsoring Club Inverell at a monster auction in aid of the Boy's Club. A general clean-up at the Cemetery was held.
