The Moree Hospital was presented with a resuscitator valued at £250. Dr Jim Richardson attended the dinner meeting at the Post Office Hotel. The Club is to provide educational and sporting equipment to both primary schools. In December 1956 a wheat drive was held (Note: Syd Boydell, not then a Lion, donated six bags).
A Harvest Festival was planned for January. In April 1957 Lions Ladies were welcomed at the Dinner Meeting for the third time. In May 1957, the Lions Ladies Auxiliary held its first monthly dinner at the Post Office Hotel. Their President was Edna Humphreys.
During the year the Club supplied six desks to East Moree Convent School, a typewriter, a motor lawnmower and sporting equipment to Moree Primary School.
There were fourteen guest speakers at Dinner Meetings during the year and the Club gained three new members.
