The Club commenced the year with membership of 25. An auction sale was held at Kirkby Park in July. A picnic was held for the Pensioners' Association with a bus tour to Pallamallawa and dinner at Donald Munro's property. A Christmas dinner is planned for the pensioners.
Members attended the National Convention in Sydney and a float representing our town and district was erected and transported to take place in the Sydney Convention Parade. The Pensioners' Association entertained the Lions Ladies at an afternoon tea party in the Methodist Hall to show their appreciation.
"Guess the amount of money in the Jar" raised £102 with 1367 tickets being sold. The first Lions/Apex Bowls night was held in Febuary 1958 and was won by Lions 68 to 60.
