1961-1962 President Bob Bell & Merv Waghorn
Lion Bob Bell was installed as President at the Changeover, but had to resign due to his wife's illness and in October the Presidency was taken over by Lion Merv Waghorn. A Senior Citizen's Christmas Dinner was held.
A "Princess of Wool" competition was held in conjunction with Rotary, Apex and the Quota Club's. During the year five new members were inducted and three old members resigned. Lion's Merv Waghorn, Jim Foster and Hilary Smith were awarded Key Membership. The Zone Chairman for the year was Lion Sid Steel. Club members visited Glen Innes and Texas Clubs as well as attending the Australian National Convention at Surfers Paradise. The Club began investigating the possibility of forming clubs at Collarenebri and Mungindi.
