Mary Sullivan crowned Princess of the Golden Grain from eight contestants. Golden Grain Carnival netted $1,157. The Boughton Oval fence was completed after 450 man hours. $2,150 Lions funds and $2,850 donation from AHA for the ornamental gates.
Club assisted in the Captain Cook Bicentenary Ball and Street Carnival. Jack Chapman won the Youth of The Year. Lions attended the District Convention at Port Macquarie and the MD Convention at Hobart and the Charter night of Ashford Lions Club. Lions Won the Bowls !!! Against Apex. Lions Ladies donated $442 to the Convention Appeal.
