1971-1972 President Harry Sinclair & Eric Carter
As President Harry Sinclair moved away from Moree, Lion Eric Carter took over the Presidency for the last part of the year. The Club staffed the gates and stalls of the Quarter Horse Cutting Day, the Moree Show gates for three days and nights and the floors for the CWA Centenary Ball. Assistance was given for the Gwydir School Walk-a-Thon, the Moree Eisteddfod, and Arthur Deneriaz Pianoforte Concert. Another successful Golden Grain Carnival with Merril Purtell winning the Princess competition. The Steam Engine was restored and 70 tons of wood cut and delivered and $1,706 was donated to local charities including $600 to the District Ambulance.
